Each vocal will have different bad frequencies that need to be fixed so do not replicate the same EQ on every vocal that you mix. Keep in mind, this isn’t exactly something that you can apply to any vocal the same way. Next we’re going to throw on an EQ and fix this vocal up even more. If you record with high gain be sure to level the track accordingly. Moving forward the mix will be much easier to clean up with an EQ.įor the level I usually use Wave Candy and set a level meter at -20Db to make sure I have a well balanced vocal.
