Soap opera in India has been only confined to the Saas Bahu drama since the last decade or even more and for the breeze of change they always bring the things like Naagin etc to make sure that audience (male in the house) don’t get a chance to complain. But the quantity of these serials that are made according to the taste of male audience is negligible. Saying only women give importance to serials will not be entirely right as every once in a while, there are serials that are known to attract the male audiences too. TV serials are widely popular in India in fact, so much that these are an important part of the lives of a lot of women in India.
